Ignacio Rada is the CEO of IkerConsulting, a specialized firm in Fundraising and Management of European Territorial Cooperation projects. He provides consulting services to both, public authorities in their territorial policy strategies, and private organisations in innovation, investment, and capacity building processes.
He has more than 20 years of experience coordinating transnational multidisciplinary working teams across the European Union, promoting the exchange of experiences in urban and interregional environments, and contributing to increasing local and regional capacities for improving policy instruments.
He has proven experience in fields like innovation, business model definition, funding opportunities & investments, entrepreneurship, and culture acquired in projects co-financed by European programmes for territorial cooperation (Interreg Europe, Interreg Baltic Sea Region, Interreg SUDOE, Interreg North Sea Region), research (VI Framework Programme, Horizon 2020, e-content) and culture (Creative Europe).
With this background and experience in EU projects, he strongly believes on the value and impact of transnational learning exchange and enjoys working with colleagues from different cities, which are areas of special interest, as they are densely populated with a significant concentration of activity (economic, social, political, and cultural) and represent a melting pot of identities, cultures, and people.
